SRINAGAR: Congress on Thursday warned People Democratic Party (PDP) of consequences, if it doesn’t stop fabricating false and fictitious cases against the workers of Congress Party.
Congress also said that the political vendetta on the part of PDP leaders against the opponents is highly unfortunate, unacceptable and condemnable.
In a joint statement Vice Presidents and General Secretaries of JKPCC said that PDP still has not learnt lessons from the current unrest and rather than toiling for prevalence of peace PDP leaders are indulging in vicious campaign against the Congress Party workers in order to divert the attention of the people from its failures.
Congress leaders said that PDP feels that it is opportune time for them to target the opponents to settle political scores and hide its failure, but the people have realised what PDP has given after securing votes from them.
PDP should take everyone into confidence and work unitedly for peace in the Valley, but this is unfortunate that the ruling PDP is creating fissures in the society to divert the attention of the people from its failures.
Threatening opponents or framing them in false cases won’t help PDP to hide its failures rather it will lead to the further alienation of the people, they said.
It is high time for PDP to shun its unfriendly attitude against the political opponents and start working for peace, as this party (PDP) has already lost the people’s trust after betraying them on every count.
