KATHUA: Lakhanpur Zone boys emerged as winner of under-17 volleyball and Sallan Zone registered victory over Lakhanpur in Kho-Kho.
The finals of both the event in the ongoing Inter Zone District Level Tournament organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports were held at Government Boys Higher Secondary School (GBHSS), here on Wednesday.
In the final played today, Lakhanpur Zone trounced Hiranagar Zone by 2-1 in volleyball while Sallan Zone beat Lakhanpur Zone by three points in kho-kho under-17.
Today’s matches were officiated by Vinod Sethi, Mandeep Singh, Punjab Singh and Omakar Nath.
The tournament is being held under the convenership of ZPEO Kailash Chander and ZPEO Pawan Kumar.
Activity In-charge Joginder Kumar Khajuria, Mohan Lal, Kuldeep Singh and Tilak Raj were also present.
