Political Mahabharat

0 88

Dear Editor,
At this critical juncture few novice but exceedingly ambitious politicians of the upcoming generation have been clamouring from the house tops that a raging political Mahabharat has virtually commenced in the Kurukshetra of Indian politics. Yes their assertion appears to be right but their wishful dreams and nightmarish calculations sound to be childish and indiscreet. They have also calibrated their roles and positions as Pandavas and Kauravas according to their own whims and fancies. Of course, at the moment political governance has stumbled into a vortex of churning. Politicians driven by greed and lust for power are in a dominating position and ruling the roost. Saner element was ruthlessly subdued, spineless, unorganised and had no say in decision making on vital issues of social and national interest. Mahabharat happened in Dwpur Yug for establishment of rule of law. There was all pervading anarchy, injustice, exploitation of the poor, caste discrimination, hair raising crimes against women. Virtually it was a might is right situation in every nook and corner of the country which paved the way for extreme Mahabharat to put the things in order. The current scenario appearing on the national political canvass is almost identical with striking similarities. Kashmir Imbroglio which is matter of National integration, is now turning into an untreatable gangrene. We are groping in the dark in search of a viable solution but in vain. A few experts say it is political problem and should be resolved through dialogue but with whom the dialogue to be held is unidentifiable. National leadership together with opposition and the substantial chunk of masses are sharply divided because of vote politics and religious prejudices. Country is paying the price. Terrorism is thriving in our backyard with active collaboration of own people. This is proving suicidal. Time has come to take sides. No one can be neutral for the sake National integrity. At this crucial juncture Parliament has been turned into a forum for settling personal political scores. Parliament is log jammed on petty issues and the important legislations concerning public interest are inordinately delayed and blocked for months together such as Land Acquisition Bill and GST. Contrarily they very smartly come together and huddle together to hike their salaries and perks in one voice at the cost of common masses and people living below poverty line. There are numerous other issues. Beware saner elements are vigilant now. They are keeping hawk’s eyeand getting organised day by day. They will decide the battle field for you along with combat formations on opposite sides in the on going political Mahabharat for comprehensive overhaul in the rotten system. Hackneyed unholy alliances shall prove to be damp squib.
