JAMMU: A function was held in the school’s auditorium in JK Public School Kunjwani to commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas.
The function started with a two minutes silence in honour of the departed souls. Students of Senior Wing along with teachers, vice-principal and principal attended the function.
The day marked 17th Anniversary of the Indian Armys’ spectacular victory over Pakistan Army which had intruded in Kargil sector. Rich tributes were paid through patriotic songs and dance by the students and a short speech by S.K Singh, the Principal. At the end, Brig. Sukhdev Singh, Director JK Educational Society, gave a brief on conduct of the operations. He also paid rich tributes to the Martyrs.
The staff and students were very emotional as they grasped the details of the operations. The function culminated with everyone joining to sing the National Anthem.
