JAMMU: A transfer Mela was organised for left over Lecturers/Masters/Teachers at Boys Higher Secondary School, Gandhi Nagar, here on Tuesday.
More than 200 teachers participated in the Mela and 103 transfer applications were received by the committee members in the Mela.
Speaking on the occasion Additional District Development Commissioner Anuradha Gupta said that main objective behind Transfer Mela is to primarily gather the input of teaching faculty and their subsequent adjustment while making teaching fraternity understand and realize the limitations and the realities intractably interlinked with Transfer and Adjustment Process.
Chief Education Officer Joginder Kumar Sudan also addressed the participants and apprised that utmost care shall be taken to adjust the participants as per their choice of education zones.
