Kshatriya Rajput Sabha seeks compensation for Amarnath land agitation victims

JAMMU: Shri Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha J and K demanded adequate compensation for Pawan Singh who lost both of his eyes during the Amarnath Land Row agitation in 2008.
In this regard, a meeting of Shri Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha was held meeting in village Dhounchak (Jourian) in which various issues confronting the community members were discussed.
After detailed deliberations, the Rajput Community members, condemned the attitude of State Government for not providing any compensation to Pawan Singh, a youth of village Dhounchak (Jourian) who lost his eyes during Amarnath Land row agitation in 2008. The Community members unanimously passed a resolution, appealing the State Government to provide due compensation to Pawan Singh besides providing job to his family member enabling him to make both ends meet.
The Biradari members also expressed concern over the hardships being faced by the Amarnath pilgrims due to the present unrest in Valley demanding proper security and safety of each Yatris.
Sabha President, Narayan Singh appealed to the government to deal with anti-social elements sternly as per law of the land to restore peace and stability in the J and K State.
He also appealed to both the Stale as well as Central Government to conduct special recruitment drive in border areas of the State to provide employment opportunity to the youths of the border areas.
Among those who spoke in the meeting include Pawan Singh Chib Youth President, Narinder Singh Bhau Vice President, Bhawan Singh, Ajay Mannas, Pardeep Manhas, Balbir Singh, Davinder Singh Chib and Karan Manhas.
