JAMMU: The junior engineers of PHE Department flayed the violation of standing orders of the administration while executing departmental works.
While criticizing the violation of norms the PHE unit of All J and K Diploma Engineers Association Jammu staged a protest against the whishy-washy working in PHE Department Jammu.
A large number of Junior Engineers belonging to various Divisions of PHE assembled at Chief Engineer’s Office and raised slogans in support of their demands.
The Junior Engineers also called on Chief Engineer PHE Jammu demanding adherence of codal procedure including implementation of Civil Accounting System in the Department as the junior engineers are being forced to take up the work which is against the standing orders of the administration. They demanded that all the works for regulation of water supply should be put to tender. The association also demanded an enquiry against the Executive Engineer PHE Rural Division Jammu official, who is in process of trying to find some way out to continue his corrupt practices. The Central Body of All J and K Diploma Engineers Association led by its President, Upinder Singh extended its full support to PHE Jammu unit and also made a representation to Chief Engineer to personally look into the matter, who assured the deputation of proper enquiry.
