JAMMU: Alert BSF jawans deployed along the International border in Jammu frontier foiled a major infiltration bid late Sunday night.
According to official sources a heavily armed group of at least 4-5 infiltrators came close to the International border in Hiranagar sector late Sunday night waiting for an opportunity to infiltrate inside the Indian territory.
According to BSF spokesman, “BSF foiled an infiltration bid from Pakistan side in Hiranagar Sector late Sunday night.”
According to the spokesman, ” a group of 4-5 militants approached the International border and waited for appropriate opportunity to cross over. Aggressive domination by BSF troops made them retreated back under protection of Pak forces,” he added. Earlier, on 9 July one such attempt was foiled by alert troops of BSF in Ramgarh Sector of Jammu frontier.
