JAMMU: The Annual Machail Mata Yatra is commencing from 25th July 2016 and elaborate arrangements have been made by the Sarv Shakti Chandi Mata Mandir, which is managing affairs of the annual Yatra.
This was disclosed by Sanjay Gandotra, President Sarv Shakti Chandi Mata Mandir in a press conference, here on Sunday. He said that the Holy Mace will reach the Shrine of Godess Chandi Temple at Machail on 22nd August 2016.
The Yatra will start from Sarv Shakti Chandi Mata Mandir at Pacca Danga (Maha Laxami Mandir), Jammu on 17th August, he said adding that for the smooth conduct of Yatra, Sarv Shakti Chandi Mata Mandir Jammu with the help of civil administration has made adequate arrangements for the convenience of pilgrims.
Base Camps have been established at Jammu, Bhadarwah, Gulabgarh etc from where Yatris can proceed further, he said adding that transport facility has also been made available from Jammu by the Sarv Shakti Chandi Mata Mandir Committee, Jammu. Langars, medical camps an`d other facilities will also be made available at various places on Yatra route, he added. It is pertinent to mention here that the Sarv Shakti Chandi Mata Mandir, Jammu is also constructing a temple at Dahmmi Nagrota on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway to provide more facilities to the pilgrims in future.
The committee appealed to the common public to participate in large number to seek blessing of Goddess Chandi.
