JAMMU: Keeping up with the tradition of honouring personalities who have rendered dynamic services in the field of sports, Volleyball Association of J&K on Sunday felicitated Prof Dhian Singh Bhau for his notable stint at University of Jammu as Director Sports and Physical Education.
It is pertinent to mention here that Prof Dhian Singh Bhau has recently relinquished the charge of Director Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu and assumed the charge of Director Distance Education University of Jammu.
The Association also welcomed the incoming Director Sports and Physical Education Prof. Avtar Singh Jasrotia who is also holding the charge of Director, Remote Sensing University of Jammu.
Lauding the role of Prof. Dhian Singh Bhau as Director Sports and Physical Education, for over a period of nine years in Jammu University, the Association placed on record the valuable services rendered by him in achieving milestones in various sport events by upholding the image of Jammu University at National level besides strengthening infrastructural facilities of Jammu University.
Speaking on the occasion Prof. Bhau expressed gratitude to Volleyball Association of J&K for extending utmost cooperation in making various sports events of Jammu University successful.
The Association also expected the same response from the new Director of Sports and Physical Education Prof. Jasrotia. Responding to Association’s gesture, Prof. Jasrotia shared his vision of improving Sports activities in coordination with all stakeholders including Volleyball Association of J&K.
Prof. Dhian Singh Bhau was presented bouquet by Raj Daluja Patron-in-chief, Volleyball Association of J&K whereas Prof. Avtar Singh Jasrotia was presented bouquet by Siddharth Daluja President of Volleyball Association of J&K.
