NOWSHERA : The residents of border villages Ser and Deing called on SDM Nowshera and brought to his notice that due to the negligence on the part of PHE, they have not been supplied drinking water for the last one and a half month.
The villagers including Sarpanch Balwant Raj, Romesh Choudhary,Rajinder Sharma, Tilak Raj and Krishan Lal said that they have not received the piped water supply for the last 50 days and are fetching water from a long distance. They said that they had been approaching the officers of PHE for supply of drinking water but none paid any heed to their request. The SDM immediately contacted the XEn and asked him that the piped water supply should be restored in these villages at the earliest.
