GLTF seeks closure of ReT scheme

JAMMU: General Line Teachers Forum (GLTF) demanded immediate closure of ReTs scheme, which caused colossal damage to the department.
Talking to reporters here on Thursday, Neeraj Sharma, State President GLTF, said that the present government is expected earnestly to undo the wrong decisions taken up by the previous NC- Congress Government for their vested interests.
He said that the government order for favouring five year service and transfer for ReTs was a misadventure by a previous government and was illogical, uncalled and gravely detrimental for general line teachers recruited through SSB, hence should be rescinded immediately.
The president also demanded that screening test should be conducted for all ReTS /RReTs to rid off the Education Department from all junk and those having fake degrees should be shown the door. He said ReT Scheme has benefited only near and dears of influential families, officials of Education Department and politicians. He also said that Transfer Mela by Education Department is just an eye washed and blue eyed are again going to rule the roost.
Sharma also demanded the immediate general adjustment order in favour of teachers promoted to master in February 2014, conduncting of DPC and timely release NPS and other salary grants.
Daleep Kumar Digra, Parshotam Singh, Digvijay Singh, Sonu Sharma, Vivek Gupta, Rajinder Atri, Shiv Nandan Sharma, Tejinder Singh, Amit Dabgotra, Naresh Manhas, Kiran Pandita and Sukhdev Singh were also present in the press conference.
