JAMMU: President, PDD Casual Labourers/Need Based Workers Union, Akhil Sharma, flayed concerned authorities for withholding the wages of need based/casual labourers who are sitting on Dharna in front of PDD Division-II Gandhi Nagar, here for the last one week. Sharma said that the department should ensure insurance of all casual laboureres and need based workers as it has usually been seen that the workers while working on electricity poles have suffered electric shocks and have died. He said that insurance will be the only alternative for such victims to sustain their families. Sharma warned that till the wages of the need based workers and casual labourers are released the workers will continue strike.
