JAMMU: Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) showed resentment for non-payment of salaries to employees working under various schemes like NPS, SSA, RMSA, SBM and NHM.
President EJAC, Abdul Qayoom Wani said that employees working under various Centrally Sponsored Schemes and New Pension Scheme (NPS) are the worst hit by official apathy and are without salaries for months together. Apart from the above, all temporary employees, casual labours, daily-wagers, seasonal employees and contingent paid employees are also suffering for the same reason. He said that keeping in view the festival of Eid-ul-Fiter, the government should take necessary steps on war footing basis for release of pending salaries of employees, otherwise the employees have no option but to come on roads and the government will have to face the brunt of employees.
Wani appealed to the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti for her personal intervention so that the employees may get their earned and legitimate salaries before the festival of Eid-ul-Fiter.
