UDHAMPUR: After Municipal Council Udhampur (MCU) failure to keep city neat and clean, finally army on Thursday took the steps to clean the town of heaps of garbage out of choked drain near Military Check post near Domail in Udhampur. It was alleged that MCU never paid due heeds towards keeping city neat and clean leading to which heaps of decaying garbage can see everywhere in city periphery.
Dozen of army jawan under the supervision of senior officers cleaned the main drain from CMP Post near Domail towards Chanykya Hotel. They also removed heaps of garbage from choked drain. It was informed that though its noble mission of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make India clean and surprisingly, MCU and local administration had remained mute spectators instead of fulfill this noble dream.
