BANIHAL: Expressing his dissatisfaction and ill will on the functioning of power development department in the state MLA Banihal and former Power Minister Vikar Rasool Wani on Tuesday urged upon the government to accelerate the working of system in the State as present system is victim of carelessness and non functioning.
Vikar while speaking on the grants of Power Development Department in the house here today
Rasool said that present government failed to carry forward the work culture of previous government.
“Previous government has commissioned Bagliar 900 MV, ensure allotment of Ratlay and start working of Ganderbal project and other power projects, but present government has failed to continue the work culture and bring any progressive change which reflects that PDP-BJP coalition has no intention in this regard,” he alleged.
Taking serious note on the budgetary announcement of government to 30 unit free electricity to the BPL beneficiaries, he said that no BPL holder is having electric meter as they will not get any benefits from this schemes so he demands free electric
supply for BPL beneficiaries of the State.
He also demand that one grid should be made on transmission line 400kv from Jalander to Baramulla for Rajouri Poonch which is going connect Valley via Moughal Road.
