JAMMU: To mark the World Refugee Day, Panun Kashmir on Sunday held a seminar on ‘Jammu, Kashmir, Jihad, Genocide…. the refugee crisis since 1947’ here at Sanskriti Bhavan, Aapshambhu Road, Roop Nagar. Kashmir expert, political commentator, writer and Chairman of the Advisory of Panun Kashmir Prof. Mohan Krishan Teng presided over the function. The participants expressed that the State of Jammu and Kashmir is Jihadi which is on way to become an Islamic State. “It follows the Jihadi principle of demographic assault, cultural invasion and squeeze on minorities. Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists and other minority groups in the State are victims of this Jihadist syndrome. Hence, to expect justice for the Hindu Refugees from such an Islamist- Jehadi state would be a far cry from truth”, the seminar discussed.
Later, the participants resolved that organizations of Hindu Refugees of 1947 to 1990, including Panun Kashmir should close ranks and work out a strategy to get justice. The participants also concluded that they are the victims of an ideological movement, which seeks the destruction of the ‘other’, the ‘non-believer’ and his permanent inferiorisation.
Yuvraj Gupta, Rashpal Singh Chib and Labha Ram Gandhi were felicitated on the occasion.
The participants also expressed concern on reports that Dharmarth Trust was contemplating to sell-off the premises belonging to the Guptaganga Asthapan situated in Srinagar.
Shailendra Aima steered the proceedings while Kuldeep Raina presented the vote of thanks.
