People hail police for arresting notorious narco smuggler

JAMMU: A large number of locals have hailed the efforts of Jammu Police for launching operation Sanjeevani against the drug mafia and its success to a great extent.
The people particularly appreciated the efforts of SHO Trikuta Nagar Inspector Kuldeep Khajuria in arresting a notorious narcotics smuggler Kulwant Singh resident of Gandpura, Tral who has a wide network of carrying and supplying the narcotics like Bhukki and other forest produces throughout the State and outside also. According to them Kulwant Singh after spending four years in Kot Bhalwal Jail, has this time been arrested by SHO Trikuta Nagar with a huge consignment of 60 kg of poppy straw (Bhukki) and booked under FIR 109/16 under Section 8/15 NDPS Act.
People of the area including Ghulam Hassan Mir, Abdul Ahad Mir, Abdul Aziz, Mohd Ramzan, Gh Navi Mir, Ahmed Reshi, Mohd Sultan, Harpal Singh, Janak Singh and Joginder Singh said that these drug smugglers are working against the society and spoiling the generations by pushing them into drug trade and making them drug addict. They demanded that deterrent action should be taken against the accused.
