SRINAGAR: DIG Armed Range Kashmir, Alok Kumar distributed uniform and other articles to the students of a government school at a function organised by JKAP 12th Battalion Zewan under Civic Action Programme at APC, Zewan.
During the function, a total of 79 students of Government Higher Secondary Institute Khanmoh, belonging to weaker section of the society were presented the items including school uniforms, school bags, shoes, socks, track suits, note books
and other stationery items by the DIG.
Speaking on the occasion, DIG advised the students to excel in studies and extra-curricular activities for better future and added that J&K Police has been organizing such events from time to time and will continue to support under privileged students in their educational endeavors.
Vote of thanks was presented by Commandant JKAP-12th Battalion, Baqar Samoon in which he emphasised the importance and benefits of Civic Action Programme and threw light on the programmes conducted by this unit under CAP from time to time.
The event culminated with the distribution of packed Iftar refreshment among the students.
The function was attended among others by Shalinder Singh commandant JKAP-9th Bn, Munir Ahmed DyCO JKAP-12th-Bn, Hamidullah Sheikh DyCO JKAP-9th, Farhan Jehanzeb Naqash DySP, Regzin Sandup DySP, Majid Magrey DySP, Ashiq Hussain DySP of JKAP-12th Battalion and Sunil Singh DySP.
