RAMNAGAR: With peoples’ distrust in Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) having exacerbated due to its cowardly surrenders after coming to power, Harsh Dev Singh, Chairman JKNPP and former Minister, on Tuesday said that the party stood decimated in Jammu province and had yielded its space to Panthers Party. He said that the saffron leaders who earlier groaned on trivial issues with slogans of demolishing the father-daughter party had abandoned their core philosophy only to play the role of Junior Partner in the PDP government. He said that in view of the BJP having melted before PDP for the lust of power, the Panthers Party had emerged as the most natural choice for the people of Jammu region.
He was addressing public gatherings in village Garh Samnabhanj Motto and Chore Panjian of Ramnagar Constituency along with Yash Kundal Ex-Minister and President Youth Wing.
While condemning the militant attack in Kud, Harsh regretted that situation in the State was reverting back to nineties with militancy spreading its tentacles to hitherto peaceful areas in Jammu region.
He that it was the first time the secessionists and Hurriyat leaders were officially allowed to hold a seminar in Kashmir by the BJP-PDP to ventilate their anti India sentiments and thereby flare up the volatile situation in the State. He deplored that full scale security was provided to Hurriyat and separatist leaders during their anti national seminar on Sunday where the speakers not only raised anti India and pro Pak slogans but used the choicest invectives against India besides questioning J and K’s accession with India. He regretted that BJP not only declined to oppose the said anti India seminar but also failed to apprehend and punish the culprits responsible for the attack on Mata Kheer Bhawani Pilgrims. He further accused the BJP of acquiescing in the ban on the Abhinav Gupta Yatra and thus opposing the religious pilgrimage of Hindu’s whose cause they claimed to be Championing while in opposition. Flaying the Kud attack, Singh said that it was the results of weak polices of the Centre and State Govt. and BJP – PDP’s soft approach towards anti India forces. Harsh said that BJP had given its electorates the shocker of their lifetimes by its pusillanimous surrenders over the issues of Sainik Colonies and KP Townships in Kashmir, new Industrial Policy besides denial of permission for the Hindu Pilgrimage to Beerwah Cave in Budgam. Not only that he regretted that the name of Hari Parbhat had been mentioned as Kohi-e-Maran in Kashmir Festival and Anantnag was being openly referred to as Islamabad in official communications. Accusing the BJP for inflicting multiple dents on dogra pride by its servile conduct, Singh claimed that Panthers alone could restore the lost pride and dignity of Dogras. He said that Panthers Party had launched a full throttle campaign against the neglect and deprivation of Jammu region and would not relent till the dogra land was treated an equal partner in development and governance. He said that Panthers had though lost the battle but would eventually win the war.
Prominent among those who spoke in various gatherings included Dharam Singh Bittu Sarpanch and Tehsil President, Onkar Singh Sarpanch, Sharan Singh Sarpanch, Shiv Nath Ex-Sarpanch, Beli Ram Ex-Sarpanch, Sub Bhagat Singh, Romesh and Subash Singh.
