8th Pawan Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament;Vinod’s ton guides Little Flower to 20 runs victory

AKHNOOR: Little Flower School XI defeated City Riders Akhnoor by 20 runs to advance into the next round of the ongoing Eighth Pawan Memorial Cricket Tournament, organised by Singh Cricket Club at Government Higher Secondary School Ground, here on Tuesday.
Batting first, after winning the toss, Little Flower made 195 runs for two wickets. Vinod Mangotra hit brilliant century with unbeaten 107 runs coming off 61 deliveries studded with 17 fours and three sixes. Aakarsh (36) and Rajesh Sharma (12) were other batsmen. For City Riders, Rohan and Mukesh took one wicket each.
Later, chasing a target of near 10-run per over, City Riders could make 175 runs in allotted quota of overs losing seven wickets.
Rohan (30), Ashwani (35) and Sandy (15) were main contributors to the total. For Little Flower, Rajinder Sharma and Divya shared two wickets each. Rajesh, Sunil and Sahil Pawar were other wicket takers.
Today’s match was officiated by Deepak Magotra and Dayal Singh as Umpires while Ashu Mangotra was Scorer.
FIXTURE: Street Warriors shall take on Singh Bataaira at 2:00 PM tomorrow.
