The Bold Voice of J&K

Apology needed

Dear Editor,
US President Barack Obama’s comforting embrace of an atomic bomb survivor in Hiroshima captured the attention of the world. In laying a wreath at the memorial he, constrained as he was, did his bit to heal the wounded Japanese psyche. However, it would have been a bold move on his part if he admitted the guilt and apologised for the Hiroshima bombing, which resulted in the death of over 1,40,000 people.
