JAMMU: Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS) today held a protest demanding the establishment of Rajput Welfare Board in J&K and declares 23rd September as a Gazetted holiday.
While addressing the media persons, President YRS, Surinder Singh Gilli alleged that government declared gazette holiday for those persons who did nothing for the State but failed to declare for the same for Maharaja Hari Singh who gave a new path to the development of the State.
He appealed to government to declare 23rd September, the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh, as a Gazetted holiday.
He also demanded that a Rajput Welfare Board should be established in the state so that the problems which are being faced by the Rajput community should be resolved.
He also threatened that if government fails to accept their demands then they will intensify their agitation.
Others present were Rajinder, Raghubir, Kaka, Pushvinder, Soni, Vicky, Gabar, Sonu, Rinku, Shamsher, Yashpal, Rinku, Lambu, Rajveer, Fento, Vikram, Praveen and Prem.
