JAMMU: In the bodybuilding championship, which concluded at Police Auditorium here on Saturday, Deepak Sharma was adjudged as Mr J and K. He lifted Champion of Champions trophy in a competition. The championship held under the aegis of Body Building Association, J and K (BBAJK). Sunil Sharma was adjudged as first runner-up and Paramveer Singh the third runner-up. They were given the prize money of Rs 11,000, Rs 5,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively. Navneet Singh (International Judge), Dr Gunit (National Judge) and Suresh Dutta (National Judge) were judges. The today’s function, among others, was attended by BBAJK Chief Patron and ex-Minister Raman Bhalla, Arjuna Awardee and Padam Shree Prem Chand Degra of Hoshiarpur, Punjab, General Secretary Rajesh Dutta. Bhalla called upon the youth to work harder to bring laurels to the country in such contests at the international level.
The results 55 kg: Rajnesh 1st, Neeraj Bhardwaj 2nd and Syed Jibran 3rd. 60 kg: Vimaljeet 1st, Jugal Kumar 2nd and Abay Singh 3rd. 65 kg: Akshat Gupta 1st, Atul Mahajan 2nd and Burhan Ansar 3rd. 70 kg: Vikas Kumar 1st, Vikrant Singh 2nd and Mehraj Mir 3rd. 75 kg: Niteshwar Singh 1st, Brite Deol 2nd and Amir Rashid 3rd. 90 kg: Sunil Kumar 1st, Jatinder Singh 2nd and Kulvir Singh 3rd. 85 kg: Deepak Sharma 1st, Vikas Thapar 2nd and Paramvir Singh 3rd. 90 kg: Sidarth Sathoo 1st, Ahmed Zia Sidiqui 2nd and Aksha Chopra 3rd. 95 kg: Paramveer Singh 1st, Shiv Dev Singh 2nd and Jaidev Singh 3rd. Fitness model: Below 6′ feet: Sidharth Sathoo 1st, Brite Deol 2nd and Akshat Gupta 3rd. Above 6′ feet: Sidant Bali 1st, Lakshay 2nd and Kanav Verma 3rd.
