JAMMU: To promote the game and encourage young talent in the State, Jammu and Kashmir Weightlifting Association is organising a fortnight-long Summer Camp at MA Stadium, here from 27th June.
With an aim to target those beginners in the game, the camp shall be held for those young lifters in the age group of 14 to 18 years only.
Those desirous of taking part in the camp can contact J and K State Sports Council Weightlifting Coach, Inderpal Singh at MA Stadium and J and K Police Coach, Inspector Daljeet Singh at Gulshan Ground, Police Line, here as also Mushtaq Zargar at Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar.
The entries should reach the above mentioned coaches along with original Date of Birth certificates up to 21st June. The Association has also decided to take a fitness test of those registered lifters on 25th June.
