Acetylene cylinder explodes; two killed, four injured

BARI BRAHMANA: Two personnel of the General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF) were killed and four others injured when a gas cylinder, they were loading on a vehicle, exploded in Samba district on Friday.
According to reports, two Acetylene cylinders (used for welding purposes ) burst in the Beacon vehicle No 1053 Workshop based at Range near old Airport Srinagar at Oxygen-Nitrogen Gas Plant Valley Minerals and Chemicals Phase II Bari-Brahmana resulting in death of two Beacon personnel namely Amar Singh (driver) and Sant Ram (helper) on the spot. Four others received injuries and were rushed to GMC Hospital Jammu. Bodies were shifted to GMC for postmortem after legal formalities.
