REASI: Police on Friday foiled a bovine smuggling bid by rescuing four bovines and arresting a smuggler.
According to a report, a specific information was received at Police Station Arnas through reliable source that some persons were on way towards Kashmir without any legal permission. On this, a Police team of Police Station Arnas along with Nafri of SPP Bassan laid a Naka at Bassan and rescued four bovines from the possession of accused person namely Mohammad Rafiq son of Mohd Amin Bhat resident of Bassan Tehsil Arnas. The accused person was arrested and a case vide FIR No. 38/2016 under section 188 RPC was registered at Police Station Arnas.
