HC directs SSP, SHO not to harass the newly-wed couple

JAMMU: Justice Tashi Rabstan of J&K High Court (Jammu Wing) in a significant order directed Principal Secretary (Home) J&K Government, Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri and Station House Officer, Police Station, Kalakote not to harass Liaqat Hussain (a Gujjar boy) son of Ghulam Hussain resident of Village Khablan, Tehsil Thanamandi District Rajouri and his wife Sanam Kouser (belonging to Bakerwal Tribe) daughter of Mohd. Ishaq resident of Village Tatapani, Tehsil Kalakote District Rajouri in case FIR No.26/2016 under Section 363/109 RPC of Police Station, Kalakote till next date before the Bench.
After hearing Advocate Sheikh Shakeel Ahmed with Advocate N.D. Qazi appearing for the petitioner Liaqat Hussain and Advocate Rahul Pant appearing for Mohd. Ishaq, father of Sanam Kouser, Justice Tashi Rabstan observed that petitioner Liaqat Hussain and Sanam Kouser are major and living together as husband and wife with their own consent.
Justice Tashi Rabstan at this stage issued notices to the Principal Secretary (Home), SSP Rajouri, SHO Kalakote and Mohd. Ishaq. Advocate Rahul Pant accepted notice on behalf of Mohd. Ishaq who was allowed four weeks time to file objections if any on behalf of the father of the girl. Notice was directed to be returnable within four weeks for other official respondents.
