SRINAGAR: Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj and Law and Justice Abdul Haq on Wednesday said that the government is coming up with a legislation to make use of Polythene a cognizable offence.
Replying to a question of Charanjeet Singh in the Legislative Council, the minister said that under ‘My Village, My World’ campaign Rural Development Department (RDD) has launched a campaign against use of Polythene thereby giving powers to officials at BDO level to impose fine on people for using it.
