JAMMU: All State Kashmir Pandit Conference (ASKPC) on Monday sought foolproof arrangements for the ensuing Zeistha Asthami Festival to be celebrated in Prayag Shadipora.
Chairing a meeting of the organisation, President ASKPC Advocate Ravinder Raina made an apprehension that elements inimical to peace can thwart the smooth conduct of the celebrations. Expressing concern over the dismal condition of Mata Ragnay Temple in Lakdipora Ashmuqum Anantnag, he demanded stern action against those who are hell-bent to interrupt peaceful celebrations of the festival. “The Government has to prove that the nefarious designs of subversive and the paid agents will be dealt with iron hands”, the ASKPC said and appealed to the authorities for ensuring foolproof arrangements and security so that community feels secure while visiting Tullumula and Prayag Shadipora and make the festival smooth and trouble free. Dr T.K Bhat General Secretary, C.L Bhat, Vice-President, Veena Gurtoo President Women’s Wing, B.L Handoo , S.K Raina and S.l Handoo also spoke on the occasion.
