Father-in law throws women out, neighbours protest for justice

JAMMU: Janipur road remained closed for more than one hour on Sunday morning when relatives and neighbours of a housewife staged protest seeking justice for the woman who was thrown out by her father-in-law over a family dispute in Lakkar Mandi area of Janipur.
Kuldeep Sharma, father-in law had thrown belongings of her daughter-in law Bindu Sharma and locked the gate from inside keeping her out over some family dispute. Early morning neighbours found her sitting outside the gate along with her belongings and crying. They tried to mediate and despite repeated request Kuldeep refused to accept Bindu, who is married to his son Amit Sharma and was staying at 441 Lakkar Mandi Janipur.
Seeing the situation they tried to intervene and pacify which Kuldeep refused to accept on this they staged a protest and blocked the road for one hour demanding justice to the woman.
On receiving the information, DySP Sugandha, SHO Janipur R S Bhau reached the spot and pacified the protesters. After some time traffic was restored.
According to sources, there was some old family dispute between father-in-law and daughter-in law going on for some time.
