KARGIL: The Chief Executive Councilor (CEC) Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Kargil, Haji Mohammad Haneefa Jan welcomed the decision of Union Ministry for Urban Development for including Kargil Town under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) Scheme.
The CEC said that the continued and intensive efforts of LAHDC Kargil has yielded results as the delegation of LAHDC led by him took the matter with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Minister for Urban Development, Venkaiya Naidu, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, Deputy Chief Minister (Minister for Urban Development) Dr. Nirmal Singh and at many other platforms persistently in the past and was optimistic in view of encouraging response received from the concerned.
