Dear Editor,
It is a matter of concern that the World Health Organisation has found four of the world’s 10 most polluted cities to be in India. Major contributors of air pollution in India are industries which have also indirectly contributed to water pollution and soil pollution. Unplanned growth of industries has resulted in such a scenario that the air we breathe is extremely toxic. Industries which emit pollutants above a specified limit, should be shut down.
