BUDGAM: Additional Deputy Commissioner Budgam chaired the meeting of election expenditure monitoring and media certification and Monitoring Committee.
During the course of the meeting ADC impressed upon all the district officers and officials involved in election process to adhere to the Model Code of Conduct and implement it letter and spirit.
ADC directed all officers to ensure vigil on violation of Model code of Conduct (MCC).
He also informed the meeting that as per the guidelines of Election Commission of India (ECI), the political parties including the rallies will be videographed as and when the need arises.
State Level Master Trainer presented about various important aspects of elections viz Expenditure Monitoring, Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC) and MCC.
The Nodal Officer impressed upon the committee members for maintenance of proper record by the MCMC and Expenditure Monitoring Committees for effective monitoring of election expenditure issues related to violation of model code of conduct besides maintenance of shadow register and paid news were also discussed during the meeting.
The meeting was also attended by all nominated Returning Officers, Assistant Returning Officers, Nodal Officers and representatives of political parties.
