Jammu Blue wins by 12 runs in Junior League

JAMMU: Jammu Blue on Friday registered a 12 runs win against Jammu Green in the ongoing Junior Cricket Premier League Tournament, organised by Jammu Tawi Sports Cricket Club at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
Earlier, batting first, Jammu Blue made 162 runs losing all their wickets in given 40 overs, which, in reply, Jammu Green could not chase and exhausted their quota of overs for 150 runs for eight wickets.
Dikshant and Sachin remained top scorers with 44 runs each while Karmanya contributed 21. For Jammu Green, Keshav emerged as most successful bowler, who took four wickets while Martuvan and Prafful shared two each.
Later, Jammu Green could make 150 runs for eight wickets in allotted 40 overs. Aarav Mahajan played patient innings of 36 runs, followed by Idris and Areen, who added 25 and 22 runs respectively. Ashank contributed 17 runs to the total.
Uttkarsh bowled brilliant spell from Jammu Blue taking away four wickets. Sachin claimed three while Munish Singal secured one.
Sachin was named Man of the Match for his all round performance. Today’s match officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik and Rajinder Singh as umpires while Sandeep Manchanda was scorer.
Meanwhile, as per the organisers, the next match of the Junior League shall be played on Sunday at 8:30 AM.
