POONCH : The Poonch Police arrested a man and his second wife for killing his first wife and arrested both under section 302 RPC.
The woman identified as Shaheen Bi the first wife of Abdul Hamid son of Noor Din resident of border village Khari Karmara was buried on 24th May, 2016 after she was declared to have died due to cardiac arrest.
Parents of the deceased women alleged that Shaheen was murdered by her husband and his second wife Razia Begum because the deceased had the strangulation mark around her neck. They appealed to the police and the administration to conduct an inquiry into the case by carrying out autopsy of her body.
Body of the deceased was exhumed and after conducting her postmortem, the police arrested Abdul Hamid and his second wife Razia Begum who during inquiry broke down and confessed to have killed Shaheen by strangulating.
The police which had earlier registered case under section 174, converted the FIR under section 302 RPC for investigation.
