JK Montessorie girls dominate in foil

JAMMU: The JK Montessorie School dominated in under-17 foil event in the two-day inter-school girls fencing competition of Jammu District, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), here on Tuesday.
The first place in foil went to Simran of Neelam Public School and remaining three places were bagged by JK Montessorie. Jasmeen secured second place while Mahak and Shilpa shared third spot.
In epee under-17 category, Sakshi of KV Bantalab emerged winner beating Muskan Soni of DPS Jammu. Radha of Saint Xavier and Priyanshhi of JK Montessorie remained joint third.
The under-14 saber gold was bagged by Shriya of Presentation Convent) after she defeated Kritarthi of MHAC Nagbani). Bhumi of GHSS Mubarak Mandi and Ananaya of GD Goenka finished joint third.
In under-14 foil event, Malvi of KNIIT Green Model bagged first place. Second place was secured by Mansi Sharma of KNIIT Green Model while Riya of KV-2 and Apurva of KV-1 were joint third.
The under-14 epee gold was bagged by Raghi of DPS beating Twinkle of KV-2 in the final. Third place went to Aditi of JK Montessorie.
The competition was officiated by the technical team comprising Ujjwal Gupta, Anthony, Tony, Abdul and Shifali Gupta.
