SRINAGAR: National Conference Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani on Monday lashed out at the PDP-BJP Government for dispensing selective and partisan governance in Srinagar and abandoning the people of the city after coming to power in the State.
Addressing party workers during a meeting at Gangabugh, Amira Kadal, the National Conference Provincial President said Srinagar was being neglected by the present government after tall promises were made to seek votes.
“The PDP-BJP Government has broken all its promises across the State and especially with the people of Srinagar. PDP’s lies stand exposed as the city is witnessing a slump in infrastructural growth and economic activity thanks to the incumbent government’s complete lack of attention towards the city. Projects started by the previous Omar Abdullah-led Government have been stopped or re-branded with new press statements and photo-opportunities as the PDP-BJP Government has not done anything in the last one year in power”, Nasir Aslam Wani said.
The NC Provincial President said the State Government was resorting to a partisan and selective approach in removing footpath vendors from various locations in the city center and had absolutely no plans to offer for their rehabilitation.
