SRINAGAR: Police arrested two drug peddlers in Sirgufwara area of the District.
Acting on specific information, a police party of Police Station Sirgufwara laid a Naka in their jurisdiction. During Naka checking, a Santro car bearing registration number 3876-JK03D driven by Sabzar Ahmad Dar resident of Tulkhan, Bijbehara was intercepted. On search two bags of poppy straw were recovered from the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle and another person Rafiq Ahmad Dar, resident of Tulkhan, Bijbehara who was boarding the vehicle were arrested and the vehicle was seized.
A case FIR number 31/2016 under Section 15/18 NDPS was registered against them and investigation was taken up.
