REASI: Police on Sunday arrested two persons who were involved in distillation of illicit liquor and destroyed 2,000 litres Lahan on the spot.
According to a report, a specific information was received by Reasi Police that some persons at village Salal Khad District Reasi are indulging in distilling illicit liquor.
On this information, a police party led by Mohan Lal, Dy.SP Hqrs. Reasi along with Inspector Dalip Singh, SHO Police Station Reasi and In-Charge Police Post Jyotipuram rushed to the spot and conducted raids in the house of Angrez Singh son of Roop Chand and Ranjeet Singh son of Suraj Ram at village Salal Khad and seized one litre of illicit liquor alongwith four litres lahan and all material for preparation of illegal Desi liquor from their houses. About 2,000 liters Lahan was also recovered and destroyed on spot.
The accused persons have been arrested and a case vide FIR No. 81/2016 under section 48-(A)(E) Excise Act was registered at Police Station Reasi.
