JAMMU: Executive Director (ED), National Hydroelectric Project Corporation (NHPC) Limited, Jammu S. Kalgaonkar today gave away prizes to winners of International online Abacus Competition. The prize distribution function was organized at Maxmind Abacus Trikuta Nagar, here.
Brahmleen Kour (National Topper-level 1 Inter), Samrat Sharma (National Topper-level 4), Sambhav Gupta (National-Runner up level 6), Kaveesh, Prisha Sachdev, Vedant Sai, Hemanya Puri, Mehar Prajna and Sharvi Arora bagged prizes at Centre level.
Laying emphasis on the benefits of Abacus Programme, Twinkle Agarwal (Centre head-Trikuta Nagar Centre), who was declared best trainer for North region, said that this course is not only beneficial for mathematical calculation but it helps widely in the overall brain development of children of age group 5-14 years as it helps in improving memory recall.
