AoI resents power cuts, low voltage

JAMMU: Association of Industries (AOI), Gangyal, expressed concern about the frequent tripping of power supply and low voltage from Grid Station and Gangyal Receiving Station due to which the unit holders are facing problem and their production activity has been disturbed resulting in huge financial loss.
Association President, Rajesh Jain said “Apart from production loss, the motors and electrical parts of the machinery are damaged due to low voltage. The matter was brought in the notice of Chief Engineer, M and RE and System Operation.”
On one side, the State Government has already commitment for 24 hours uninterrupted power supply to industry but how it will be fulfilled by casual approach of Power Development Department failing the intention and efforts of popular government, he added. The Association of Industries (AOI) appealed to the Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh to intervene into the matter and assure 24 hours quality power without interruption to the Gangyal Industrial Area.The meeting was attended among others by Bansi Lal Gupta, S.B Abrol, Vijay Sharma and Sanjeev Vig.
