KATRA: Police on Tuesday arrested three women bootleggers and recovered 100 pouches of liquor from their possession.
According to a report, acting on a specific input, a police team headed by Inspector Sanjeev Sharma, SHO Police Station Katra laid a Naka at Police Check Post Moorie. During checking, the police team recovered 100 pouches of J&K Excise Liquor from the possession of three women identified as Shashi Devi wife of Sunil Sharma resident of Sheesh Mehal Poonch at present staying at Chintamani Katra, Vaishno Devi wife of Bala Ram resident of Chintamani Katra Tehsil Katra District Reasi and Renu Devi wife of Som Raj resident of Chintamani Katra Tehsil Katra District Reasi. The accused women have been arrested and recovered poly pouches of liquor have been seized. A case vide FIR No. 82/2016 under section 48-A Excise Act, 188/RPC was registered at Police Station Katra.
