SOPORE: Former Minister Abdul Gani Vakil declared the prevailing situation in J and K particularly in Valley as fluid and very concerning.
He said that things are moving in a direction which if not taken care off will put the State in flames.
Vakil asked Chief Minister to convene an all party meet at earliest and not allow the spark to spread like fire. He made it clear that under a well planned strategy Central Government is trying to fiddle with Article 370 and coercing the Jammu and Kashmir Government to pave the way for permanent abrogation of the special status of the State through direct and indirect moves. He said that overt and covert actions of the Central Government in this direction are visible now. He said that demand for identification of land for establishment of Sanik Colony or Kashmiri Migrant Cluster Colonies besides introduction of new Industrial Policy reflects the inner agenda of RSS guided BJP led Central Government.
While addressing a convention here at Dak Bungalow Watlab, Sopore, Vakil said that RSS is not even wasting a single minute since inception of BJP Government to push its agenda and it has been continuously motivating the Union Government to take each and every step to weaken the special status of the Jammu and Kashmir, therefore, obeying the orders of RSS bosses and in the pursuit of appeasing Hindu extremists, BJP led Union Government is forcing and coercing the State Government to provide admission to non State Subjects in professional colleges of the State also.
Vakil said that it is unfortunate that for the sake of power, PDP has closed its eyes and is extending its support and full cooperation to RSS and BJP so that they can realise their agenda and goal of weakening the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, which in near future will prove highly dangerous and counterproductive not only for the State but for entire country. Former minister impressed upon the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to behave and work as per wishes of the common masses of J and K and not to dance on the tunes of BJP masters. He appealed the Chief Minister to defeat all the nefarious and imprudent designs of the RSS and Hindu extremists and not to implement any of the decisions which may have far reaching and dangerous consequences on the peace, integration and existence of the J&K.
In the convention a resolution was also passed in which grave concern was expressed over neglect of fruit industry in the State and an appeal was made to Chief Minister and concerned Minister to protect the livelihood of more that five lakh people who are associated with this Industry. Besides, demand for providing adequate compensation to affected growers was also made who suffered heavy losses due to inclement and unfavourable weather conditions prevailing in the State.
