Tipper fell into george at Gandoh, driver dies STATE TIMES NEWS
DODA: The driver of a tipper got killed in an accident on Dhadkai-Gandoh Road in district Doda on Sunday morning.
According to eyewitnesses, the tipper bearing registration number JK06-3219 loaded with stones on its way from Dhadkai to Gandoh, on reaching Shelli area near Gandoh Bridge on Gandoh-Dhadhkai Road fell down into about 600 feet deep gorge as driver lost control on it while negotiating a curve resulting in serious injuries to the driver.
After getting information, police party from Police Station Gandoh along with locals rushed to the spot and rescued the injured driver from ill-fated vehicle.
The injured was shifted to SDH Gandoh where doctors declared him as brought dead.
“A tipper (JK06-3219) went out of the driver`s control while negotiating a curve and fell into about 600 feet deep george at Shelli area near Gandoh Bridge on Gandoh-Dhadhkai Road today morning at 10.30 AM ,” said SHO Gandoh Tariq Hussain Naik adding the injured driver died on way to SDH Gandoh. The body was handed over to his family members after completing legal formalities.
According to sources, deceased was working with Bismillah Company as tipper driver and was identified as Bipan Kumar son of Rajinder Kumar resident of Domail, Bhadarwah.
A case vide FIR number 45/2016 under section 279,337,304-A was registered at Police Station Gandoh.
