JAMMU: A monthly rally of PoK DPs was organised by the S. O. S. International here at Rehari on Sunday. Scores of PoK DPs participated in the rally and raised their concern over callous attitude of Centre and State Governments. All the speakers present in the rally expressed their anguish and antipathy against Government and its policies for PoK DPs.
At the beginning of rally, Chairman S. O. S. International, Rajiv Chuni released white paper exposing the discriminatory approach of both- Central and State Government towards PoK DPs vis-a-vis Kashmiri Migrants.
Chuni said that government’s prejudice towards PoK DPs is unfortunate and to project the issue, this white paper will be distributed throughout the country by the organisation.
On the occasion S.P Verma President Gandhi Global Family, J&K presented the UN-India Connect Pin and Tricolour Angvastram to Rajiv Chuni Chairman S. O. S. International for his outstanding role in fighting for the cause of Displaced Persons from PoK.
Lalit Kumar conducted the proceedings. Ram Singh, Roshan Lal, Roshan Malhotra, Sharda Devi, Prof. N.N Sharma, O.P Khajuria, Tarvinder Singh, Sanjay Kohli, V.K Dutta, Dr. J.P Sharma, Virinder Khajuria, G.S Isher and Sanjeev Suri also spoke on the occasion.
