RAMBAN: A bootleggers was arrested by Ramban Police and recovered 45 pouches of liquor from his possession.
According to a report, during patrolling duty at Bus Stand, police party of Police Station Ramban intercepted one Gambhir Singh son of Sant resident of Deyar Gali, Rajgarh moving in suspicious condition. On seeing police, he tried to escape from the spot but police personnel chased him and apprehended him. During checking, 45 pouches of JK Whisky were recovered from his possession, which he was trying to smuggle into Rajgarh area to earn illegitimate profit.
Accordingly, pouches of liquor were seized and the accused has been arrested and booked under FIR No. 66/2016 section 48(A) Excise Act at Police Station Ramban. The arrest was made by police party led by Inspr. Pardeep Sharma, SHO Police Station Ramban.
