DODA: Two school children are reported to have lost their lives this evening when an area was hit by a cloud burst struck in Batote area on Thursday.While one student is still missing, huge loss to the property has taken place in Kothri Batote.
According to reports reaching here, the three students were going back to home from school when all of a sudden cloud burst took place and all the three were washed away in the Nallah.
According to DIG Police Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban range, Nisar Ahmed, two bodies have been recovered so far, and one student is still missing.
Police and the local people of the area besides para military forces were on the job to trace out the missing student.
The DIG said that rain water has entered into the residential houses and caused huge losses to the property. Rain water has also entered in to shops in main market Batote.
Senior officials from local administration visited the main market of Batote and other affected areas in its peripheries.
The dead have been identified as Rakesh Kumar (13), son of Satish Kumar, resident of Ladhuwal Ramban and Shivali Devi (5), daughter of Hans Raj, resident of Bagoo Nallah Batote while as Payilo Devi (8), daughter of Raj Kumar, resident of Brathal Thopal Ramban is missing.
