JAMMU: To help poor and meritorious students for pursuing their education, The Sara, under its Mission Compassion, launched A to Z Scholarship initiative from J and K Kusht Ashram Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu.
Under this initiative, the NGO The Sara shall be helping the students with poor financial background to meet their day-to-day educational expenses and school tuition fee. The first two students shortlisted by ‘The – Sara’ for ‘A to Z’ Scholarship are Mohammad Ishaq, son of Mohammad Latif and Shazia Naz, daughter of Din Mohammad, both residents of J&K Kusht Ashram Jammu.
President of The – Sara Gurjeet Kour said, “Education is an essential human virtue, a necessity of society, basis of good life and sign of freedom. Education is important for integration of separate entities”, and added that the NGO shall cover some more students under this monthly scholarship scheme.
Prominent members of The Sara including Gurjeet Kour, Rupinder Kour, Anisha Dhar, Manpreet Kour and Dr. Raminder Jit Singh besides members of J&K Kusht Ashram Society Kuldeep, Wazir Mohammed and Mohammad Latif were present on the occasion.
