DODA: A two-day zonal level inter school tournament of Ghat Zone organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports concluded at Government Higher Secondary School here.
The tournament was held under the supervision of Zonal Education Planning Officer in which around 350 students in the age group of under-14 and under-17 participated. The competition included games like volley ball, kabaddi, kho-Kho, wrestling and athletics.
In the under-17(Boys) category, in volleyball competition Higher Secondary Jodhpur emerged victorious by defeating HSS Ghat by 2-1, in kabaddi HSS Ghat trounced LHS Bhatta by 12 points and in kho-kho HSS Ghat defeated LHS Sharerna by 4 points.
In Under-14 (Boys) in Kabaddi competition MS Kashore defeated GMS Ghat by eight points and kho-kho GMS Ghat outplayed BMS Ghat by three points. In Under-17 (girls), kabaddi HS Jodhpur emerged victorious by beating HSS Ghat by 15 points and Kho-Kho HSS Ghat defeated LHS Bhatta by six points.
Similarly in under-14 (Girls), Kabaddi competition MS Kashore defeated MS Ghat by nine points and in kho-kho GMS Ghat beat BMS Ghat by two points.
In individual games like wrestling and athletics various players emerged winners in different weight categories.
